1886Ventures born from Lab1886 the innovation laboratory of Mercedes-Benz. The company role is to build up forward-thinking business entities, ventures from innovative concepts in the field of automotive and sustainable development
As a senior designer at Mercedes-Benz Lab1886, I became actively involved in facilitating the transformation of this remarkable company into a new venture-building enterprise. Following this transformation, I had the privilege of taking on the role of Head of UX/UI Design, where I got the responsibility to lead all design activities of the company. In this position, I provided creative direction, design management, and engaged in hands-on design work to contribute to the establishment of several new companies. I played a pivotal role in supporting their growth and helping them achieve a dominant position within their respective markets by brand and product design.

Harnessing technology for a sustainable future, embodied by in 'Macrocosm in Microcosm' principle, that forms the foundation of the visual language
The logo was redesigned from the original four-arm Lab1886 logo, which was initially created by Gorden Wagener, the Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz, and updated by an external agency. My role involved the development of a comprehensive graphic language and design system. This system aims to establish a distinctive visual identity for the company across both offline and online platforms. The foundation of this symbolic system was inspired by the redesigned architecture of 1886Venture, created by J. Mayer H Studio. This building features a paper envelope pattern consisting of large, monochromatic patches. I leveraged this pattern to craft an asymmetrical natural design with a cellular appearance, symbolizing the microcosm. This concept, when further refined, evolves into a topological pattern that reflects the macrocosm. The concept of 'Macrocosm in Microcosm' embodies the ability to simultaneously perceive the big picture and the finer details, enabling us to look ahead clearly and confidently define the future.

Accelerating the development of forward-looking business models centered on industry sustainability
The core focus of the 1886Ventures website lies in presenting new business models and opportunities that promote the transformation of the industry toward sustainability, carbon neutrality, and financial viability. The company offers venture services and develops its ventures in the automotive, energy production, and circular economy sectors. The website's style is defined by the main principle of 'Macrocosm in Microcosm,' and it incorporates a playful visual language. This language, coupled with large headlines, 3D elements, UI animations and a color palette that combines subtle light colors with carefully chosen highlight colors, creates a distinct and engaging online presence.
